Weekly through the peak growing season — roughly May through September — is the standard for most properties here. Shoulder seasons in spring and fall usually stretch to every ten days to two weeks, and we adjust with the weather rather than mowing on a rigid calendar when the grass isn't growing.
Do you offer a seasonal contract or per-visit pricing?
Both. Most customers prefer a standing schedule with a flat per-visit rate for the season, because it's predictable and you're not re-booking every week. If you'd rather do it visit by visit, that's fine too — you'll get the same rate.
What height do you cut the grass to?
It changes through the season. Taller in the heat of summer, because a longer blade shades the soil and the lawn holds up better in a dry spell. Shorter in spring and fall when growth is pushing. Cutting everything to the same height year-round is one of the fastest ways to end up with a thin, weed-prone lawn.
Do you bag the clippings?
Usually we mulch them back in — the clippings break down and feed the lawn, and it saves you the cost of bagging. If you'd prefer them bagged, or if the lawn has been left long enough that mulching would leave clumps, just say so and we'll bag it.
Can you take on a lawn that's in rough shape?
Yes, and it's common. A lawn that's been neglected or has thin, patchy areas usually needs more than mowing — sometimes a cleanup cut first to bring the height back under control, then a regular schedule, then seeding or sod in the bare spots. We'll tell you honestly what it'll take instead of just mowing over the problem.
